The Minnesota Vikings will try to salvage their season when they host the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday Night Football.
The Vikings suffered an embarrassing loss to the winless Detroit Lions in Week 13 and now stand at 5-7, needing to win their remaining five games to have any chance of making the playoffs.
The Steelers kept their division win hopes alive with an incredible 20-19 victory over division rival Baltimore Ravens. Pittsburgh sits in third place in the AFC North standings with a 6-5-1 record. However, a win Thursday would put more pressure on the Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals ahead of their Week 14 games.
Ahead of an important game for both sides, we take a look at the injury list and starting lineups for both teams.
Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Minnesota Vikings injury report for Thursday Night Football
The Steelers will be without four key players for Thursday night’s game.
Cornerback Joe Haden will continue to be out as he has not recovered from his foot injury. Linebacker Robert Spillane has a knee problem and will also sit out for the game against the Vikings.
Center B.J. Finney has a back problem. He will not be able to play Thursday. Defensive end Isaiah Buggs has an ankle injury and will not play against the Vikings.
The Vikings took a big blow in their game against the Lions. Wide receiver Adam Thielen suffered an ankle injury that will likely keep him out of action for at least a few weeks. He will be joined in the rehab room by tackle Christian Darrisaw, who is also dealing with an ankle injury.
Minnesota has listed three other players as questionable for Thursday night’s game: Running back Dalvin Cook (shoulder), linebacker Blake Lynch (hip) and safety Camryn Bynum (ankle). All three players practiced in some form on Tuesday and Wednesday and are expected to play against the Steelers.
